| Nick Kennedy is principal in the information technology practice at Alex Kaar. With the view to expanding his executive search experience, Nick joined Alex Kaar early in 2009.
Nick specialises in the search and selection of executive information technology professionals for a broad range of clients. Across his career Nick has recruited roles including CIO, I.T. director, project and program manager, amongst others. Nick has operated primarily in the commerce and industry space and has enjoyed success recruiting across industries including utilities, FMCG, retail, pharmaceutical, government, media and online. Nick’s technical background prior to moving into recruitment ensures a good understanding of the technology space and the intricacies of recruiting within the field.
Nick emerges from a UK listed recruitment firm where he was a manager in the technology discipline. Throughout this time Nick provided clients with solutions in the permanent and contract I.T. recruitment spaces. Nick was also involved in consulting to clients and providing expert advice on recruitment related matters. In early 2006, Nick was given the task of building and managing a team of high performing consultants which was done with great success.
Prior to moving into recruitment, Nick spent a number of years working as a mechanical engineer across industries including pyrometallurgy and automotive (General Motors Holden). Nick holds a bachelor of engineering (mech) from Monash University. |
